Matuse is an up-and-coming international actor with a storied history as an artist & musician who independently built a solid foundation. Amongst his achievements was his inaugural acting role in the award winning short film 'Between The Flags' for which he garnered the award for Best Male Actor at one of the world's largest short film festivals, The Tropfest Short Film Festival, in 2007. During 2009, Matuse featured in the cinematic released feature film 'Cedar Boys', playing the character of 'Hamdi', sharing the screen opposite Martin Henderson (The Ring) & Rachel Taylor (Transformers). Matuse also contributed to the soundtrack of Cedar Boys, with at least three original songs making the final credits. This led to Matuse securing a highly coveted and recurring role in the hugely successful Australian prime-time television series "Underbelly- The Golden Mile" in late 2010. Underbelly: The Golden Mile is a 13-part Australian television mini-series loosely based on real events that stemmed from the nightclub scene of the Sydney suburb of Kings Cross.
