Marque Hernandez was born David Marcus Hernandez in Dallas, Texas. His father, David Hernandez, was a contract worker who traveled months at a time working in Dallas, Boston, San Diego and Seattle. Marque's mother, Elvira Hernandez, worked for the Vought Corporation (LTV) Aerospace in Texas but later worked for the Boeing Company when the family relocated to Seattle, Washington. Marque spent part of his junior high days in La Mesa, California and most of his freshman year of high school in Seattle before moving back to Texas. Marque got his first taste of the small screen in 1994 on the show Beverly Hills 90210 while he and his wife were visiting a relative who ran security for two of Aaron Spelling's shows, Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place.
