Julian Flynn is enjoying his supporting role in the new Netflix international spy drama "Wasp Network" that is helmed by French director Olivier Assayas in 2020. He was born in Havana, Cuba (as Jose Perez) and at age 4 migrated to the United States with his family by way of Spain, before finally settling in Tampa, Florida. After graduating from high school, he served his adopted country as an airborne infantry paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division in the US Army. When completing his service with an honorable discharge, Julian went back to school under the veteran's educational assistant program, where he began to pursue an acting career. He took the Acting name Julian Flynn at SAG because (Jose Perez) was already taken, but, more importantly, because he learned English by watching Errol Flynn movies as a young kid. Flynn's first starring role was as Nico in 'Lying Right Here,' a suspenseful film noir that made its debut at the 6th Annual 2010 Hollyshorts Film festival in Hollywood, CA. The film received the Audience Choice Award due to his mesmerizing performance. Flynn co-produced and had a supporting role in the film, 'Near Myth: The Oskar Knight Story,' a mockumentary tale of the life-and-times chronicle of one of our greatest directors, Oskar Knight. He's also co-written a stage play titled, 'Tea For Four,' a romantic comedy. Julian is collaborating as a co-writer and co-producer of the action-thriller, 'The Last Hit,' working with writer Joseph Armillas. The film is in pre-production and slated to start principal photography in Fall 2020. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Michael Conley/Conley Communications
