Stanley James Browne was born on December 15th, 1970 at The Mothers' Hospital in Clapton, Hackney, East London, UK. He is the middle of three children of a bank clerk mother, Joy Rosemary Brown, from Manchester, Jamaica. After leaving secondary school, Stanley enrolled at Waltham Forest collage intent on a career in Art, Design and fashion. However, he caught the acting bug while appearing in student drama productions and, upon graduation (1993) he enrolled at The Anna Scher Theatre in Islington North London. Stanley went on to train at Mountview Acting Academy, where he graduated in 2009 in classical theatre after being awarded the sole scholarship for men. He went on to perform Shakespeare's Othello (2010), touring Ireland for three months and was praised by audiences and critics alike - for his portrayal of one of theatres most challenging roles.
