Gia Sandhu is an actress who first became interested in acting while taking a drama class in high school. From there she joined the theatre arts program at the University of Victoria where she attended for a year. She then went on to attend the National Theatre School of Canada (NTS) in Montreal. Upon graduation she landed her first feature film, by acclaimed director Mary Harron which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). She also went on to co-star in a film by Academy Award nominated director, Deepa Mehta which premiered as a Gala film at TIFF. Her interest in cinema led her to study at the Canadian Film Centre (CFC). While enrolled in the program she landed her first lead role in an international feature film.
